This Army Sgt. is taken by this little Afghan boy,
That brings a little gift of joy.
Speaking together in a conversation in Pashtun,
You would think they were long lost friends.…
This little Afghan boy seems so comfortable.
Not uncomfortable.
At all!
You would think that they knew each other.
Almost like the Sgt. is his big brother.
One thing’s for sure, whoever he is; he brought a smile to this American Soldier’s face.
In a faraway place,
Thousands of miles away from home,
This little boy makes a United States Army Sgt. Chuckle.

And remember back home.
Forgetting for about war’s harsh moments,
Just for a stolen moment.
